Nebo Loop National Scenic Byway

Join us on a road trip through the Nebo Loop Scenic Byway. For 37 miles the Nebo Loop Scenic Byway winds through the southern end of the Wasatch Range, between Nephi and Payson Utah, rising to a high point of 9,345 feet and affording excellent views of the steep, wooded surroundings, dominated by 11,929 foot Mount Nebo, the tallest summit in the range. Mount Nebo is the southernmost and highest mountain in the Wasatch Range of Utah, in the United States. Named after the biblical Mount Nebo overlooking Israel, which is said to be the place of Moses’ death, it is the centerpiece of the Mount Nebo Wilderness, inside the Uinta National Forest. Elevation: 11,929′ First ascent: 1869 Location: Juab / Utah counties, Utah, U.S. Excellent location for Boondockers or Dry Camping.

Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park

Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park is a state park of California, United States, preserving old-growth redwoods along the Smith River. It is located along U.S. Route 199 approximately 9 miles east of Crescent City. The park was named for Jedediah Strong Smith, who in the 1820s became the first white man to explore the interior of northern California. Meat Eating Plants (The Bog)

Darlingtonia State Natural Site (18 acres) is a state park and botanical preserve located five miles (8 km) north of Florence, Oregon, United States on U.S. Route 101, just west of Mercer Lake and south of Sutton Lake that is dedicated to the preservation of a rare plant. The park has a short loop trail through a peat bog area overlooking patches of Darlingtonia. It is the only Oregon state park dedicated to the protection of a single plant species.

Mount St. Helens

Mount St. Helens is an active stratovolcano located in Skamania County, Washington, in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. Ringing Rocks, Whitehall Montana

This is a short little video showing you the difference of normal rocks and Ringing Rocks.The Ringing Rocks are located in the mountains between Butte and Whitehall, Montana and is notable for a large tone of ringing boulders. They formed from a deep-seated vent of a volcano which erupted 76 million years ago. If you remove the rocks they will no longer ring. They even furnish the hammers so you can play your tune. National Bison Range Moiese, Montana

The National Bison Range is one of the more unique wildlife refuges in the United States, it’s a wonderful place to see beautiful scenery, large herds of grazing buffalo, elk, antelope and other prairie wildlife. It’s a great place to visit and a must see if in the area.

Ghost Town, Virginia City, Montana

Virginia City, Montana, is frozen in time. It is a remarkably well preserved old west Victorian gold mining town just 20 miles west of Yellowstone National Park (90 miles by road). When the gold ran out, there was still enough left so that homes and businesses were occupied, but there was not enough wealth to remodel the buildings.

Ghostown of Bannack, Bannack State Park, Montana

Come walk the deserted streets of Bannack. Bannack is one of the best preserved ghost towns in the country. Bannack State Park is a registered historic landmark and the site of Montana’s first major gold discovery on July 28, 1862. This strike set off a massive gold rush that swelled Bannack’s population to over 3,000 by 1863. The park is 5,837 feet in elevation and approximately 1,600 acres. The campgrounds have 28 sites.
