Vogel State Park, Blairsville, Georgia
Video of a beautiful State Park at the base of Blood Mountain built
by the CCC’s in the 1930’s. It has many running streams throughout the
park, beautiful lake, beach, outdoor gym, putput golf, playground, and
ball field. Lots of Cabin rentals and tent camping. Legend has it a
fierce battle took place between the Creek and Cherokee nations above
the park. The Battle lasted so long the streams at the foot of the
mountains ran red with blood. (Hence the name Blood Mountain).

A very Beautiful State Park, five minutes from (Little German Town)
Helen, Georgia.Unicoi is one of Georgia’s most beloved state parks.
Enjoy miles and miles of biking and hiking on scenic mountain trails,
especially those leading to Helen and Anna Ruby Falls. Beautiful lake
with beach and lots of unique cabin rentals. The bridge in the video
with my wife and Black Lab posing on is the (Kissing Bridge) it is where
Burt Reynolds kissed Sally Fields in the movie Smokey and the Bandit.
The Park was large and clean and the Staff was very friendly and
helpful. This Park will definitely be one of our go to places again.

WOW!!!! What beautiful scenery in North Georgia. Camped at the Tallulah

Lowanslow.com,
is this group headed west mainly PP’c or PP’g. Also is there a time
date and address to meet at in Wayside Texas? Any help would be greatly
appreciated.Thanks
Hi
Gerry. This group is all PPCSthe , and we plan to meet in Wayside on
September 22, early evening. The rest of the schedule takes us into New
Mexico, Arizona and Utah. Would love for you to join us on the trip or
at any single stopping point. Blue Skies.
It is one of these two spots. I can’t remember which field exactly, but you will see campers there.
Thanks
Jeff. I was just going to tell Gerry that there are very few landmarks,
and that we meet in a field outside of Wayside. The coordinates are
probably better. Thanks
Lowanslow.com, Thanks Carolyn Wilson and Jeff Wood, my bride and I definitely plan on meeting up with you guys at the beginning at Wayside TX. See you there:)
