The Journey Continue’s at Indian Springs State Park Georgia
Traveling through Georgia our Journey brings us to Indian Springs State Park. It’s
about half way between Macon and Atlanta and
to date one of our favorites. It was a rainy week but still a good week
for camping. Any weeks of camping is better then any weeks setting at
home watching TV. This is our second time of staying here and loved it
each time. The lake you see in some of the pictures is a beautiful lake
but unfortunately is being drained at this time for structural work on a
flood gate. You will see that there is still quiet a bit of color left
on some of the trees which looks awesome compared to all green and no
seasons change down in South Florida where we come from.
The Journey Proceeds,Entering Georgia.
Left Grand Lakes RV Resort in Citra Florida headed to North Georgia.
We took our time as we were in no hurry, arrived at our camp site right
at sundown, just in time to get set up before dark. 56 F, 53 F for tonight’s low. Just right for sleeping weather:)
Reunion With Our Family as the Journey Proceeds
As our Journey proceeds we left Grand Lake RV Resort in Citra Florida
still headed to North Georgia, but first stopped over in Gainesville
Florida and had a wonderful Reunion with some family we haven’t seen in over six years.

My love for Serbian Coffee
I crave the coffee in Serbia. I don’t know if I drink more coffee then
Grapa or more Grapa then Coffee. But I can’t get enough of either. Most
Serbs drink Turkish Coffee which I dearly
love but I drink so much of it while i’m there sometime I feel like I
need a break, here is another one of my Favorite coffees in Serbia, not
to mention the great socializing that goes along with it.
Renato Grbic a True Serbian Hero
A few years back I was reading an article about a Serbian guy that
has saved 25 people who tried to comment suicide by jumping from the
Pancevo Bridge which is between the City of
Belgrade and Pancevo Serbia. While visiting Serbia this year, Belgrade
in Particular our daughters fiancee wanted to take us to have as he said
the best fish dinner on the Danube River, I said I’m ready. I started
telling him about the story I read a few years ago and he said with
excitement! That’s the place I’m taking you to. He owns a restaurant at
the base of the bridge on the Pancevo side of the bridge. I said I must
meet this guy with excitement. So after the waiter took our order of a
mixed fish Platter (Fresh Water Fish) Serbs call River fish I asked him
was the guy that saved all those people here or anywhere around. He said
that’s him setting over there at that table. Great,so here we go my
daughter and I to meet Mr. Renato Grbic, in my eyes a true Serbian hero.
We posed for pictures and talked for a while and he said his family has
been in the fishing business for over 100 years, WOW, That’s explains
why the mixed fish platter we had was so good. The best fresh water
fish I had to date. During our chat he explained how he saved them and
the number is now 28. ABC News did a story on him back in 2012, I’ll
post a link on the full story at the end but first I have to tell you
the mixed fish platter was really the best I have ever had .The fish
soup was out of this world. So if your ever in the area and get a chance,
stop in and say hello to Mr. Renato Grbic and at least try the Fish
Soup, you want regret it. If your really hungry, try the Mixed fish
platter. Tell him that you heard about him, his story and about his
wonderful restaurant from that crazy American Guy with the camera that
was there in October 2015.

Spasic Family. Calm, Warm, Peaceful, Welcoming and Happy. What else can I
say: I love Serbia.
Road trip to the Kosovo Border
Left Belgrade Serbia for a 3 or 4 hr. Road trip to the Kosovo Border. I
have heard a lot about Kosovo but never had the chance to go, the border
is as close as I got. Stopped at a few
places on the way. It was a little sad when we actually arrived seeing
the burned out Orthodox Church due to the war. Hope you enjoy.
Church of Saint Sava
The Church of Saint Sava is a Serbian Orthodox church located in Belgrade Serbia. It is one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world and ranks among the largest church buildings in the world. The church is dedicated to Saint Sava, the founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church and an important figure in medieval Serbia. It is built where his remains were burned in 1595 by Ottoman Grand Vizier Sinan Pasha. From its location, it dominates Belgrade’s cityscape,
and is perhaps the most monumental building in the city. The building
of the church structure is being financed exclusively by donations. The
parish home is nearby, as will be the planned patriarchal building.
Sunset on the Sava River,Belgrade Serbia
Sunset on the Sava River with our good friend Ivana Protic.
Day Trip to Devil’s Town
Devil’s Town, one of the many wonders of the world is situated in
southernmost part of Serbia, 17 miles from the town of Kursumlija, on
the slopes of Mt Radan, which boasts a large
number of mineral and thermal springs. Due to a high concentration of
minerals, the whole area is destitute of vegetation. The land there
easily erodes and creates mischievous landscapes. Devil’s Town
apparently consists of 202 earthen figures, Six feet to 45 feet tall,
all wearing caps on the top. Actually, those are andesite plates – rocks
created in an intense volcanic eruption of millions of years ago. For
centuries, they have been pressing the soil, which gradually changed its
appearance and was transformed into figures of various odd shapes and
dimensions.
Another Great Night In Belgrade Serbia
WOW, what can I say, Another great night with family and friends in Belgrade.
Village Life in South Serbia with Grandma and Grandpa Ognjanovic

Another Great Night on Knez Mihailova,Belgrade Serbia
Enjoying the evening with Friends and Family on the Beautiful Street of Knez Mihailova, Belgrade Serbia.
A day in Belgrade Serbia on Knez Mihailova Street
After finishing my Dental Appointment my bride and I thought we would walk the 2 KM walk to the Beautiful Knez Mihailova Street it is the main pedestrian and shopping zone in Belgrade, and is protected by law as one of the oldest and most valuable landmarks of the city.
The street follows the central grid layout of the Roman city of Singidunum. During Ottoman occupation, there were gardens, drinking-fountains and mosques along the street.
Knez Mihailova is a common meeting point for Belgraders . The street has been named one of the most beautiful pedestrian zones in Eastern Europe and is a constant buzz of people and tourists. Thousands of people stroll along the street every day as it is the shortest path from Terazije to Kalemegdan park and fortress.

James H. Floyd State Park,Georgia
James H.Floyd SP, Georgia. A secret gem of a State Park. Beautiful well maintained and very quiet.
Surrounded by rural countryside and the Chattahoochee National Forest, this quiet park in northwest Georgia offers outstanding fishing on two stocked lakes. You can hike along three miles of lake loop trails and relax in swings while watching for the many bluebirds that live in the park. The trail head to the scenic 60-mile Pinhoti Trail is only a 1.6-mile hike away.
