Vogel State Park, Blairsville, Georgia
Video of a beautiful State Park at the base of Blood Mountain built
by the CCC’s in the 1930’s. It has many running streams throughout the
park, beautiful lake, beach, outdoor gym, putput golf, playground, and
ball field. Lots of Cabin rentals and tent camping. Legend has it a
fierce battle took place between the Creek and Cherokee nations above
the park. The Battle lasted so long the streams at the foot of the
mountains ran red with blood. (Hence the name Blood Mountain).

Unicoi State Park, Helen, Georgia
A very Beautiful State Park, five minutes from (Little German Town)
Helen, Georgia.Unicoi is one of Georgia’s most beloved state parks.
Enjoy miles and miles of biking and hiking on scenic mountain trails,
especially those leading to Helen and Anna Ruby Falls. Beautiful lake
with beach and lots of unique cabin rentals. The bridge in the video
with my wife and Black Lab posing on is the (Kissing Bridge) it is where
Burt Reynolds kissed Sally Fields in the movie Smokey and the Bandit.
The Park was large and clean and the Staff was very friendly and
helpful. This Park will definitely be one of our go to places again.

Tallulah Gorge State Park,Tallulah, Georgia
WOW!!!! What beautiful scenery in North Georgia. Camped at the Tallulah
Gorge State Park and visited the north rim of the Tallulah Gorge. Look
close on the river and you might recognize some of the river scenes
where they filmed the movie Deliverance starting Burt Reynolds.
Beautiful scenery well worth the time.

The Journey Continue’s at Indian Springs State Park Georgia
Traveling through Georgia our Journey brings us to Indian Springs State Park. It’s
about half way between Macon and Atlanta and
to date one of our favorites. It was a rainy week but still a good week
for camping. Any weeks of camping is better then any weeks setting at
home watching TV. This is our second time of staying here and loved it
each time. The lake you see in some of the pictures is a beautiful lake
but unfortunately is being drained at this time for structural work on a
flood gate. You will see that there is still quiet a bit of color left
on some of the trees which looks awesome compared to all green and no
seasons change down in South Florida where we come from.
Second Annual, Great Smoky Mountain Fly-in Georgia Style
