Vogel State Park, Blairsville, Georgia

Video of a beautiful State Park at the base of Blood Mountain built by the CCC’s in the 1930’s. It has many running streams throughout the park, beautiful lake, beach, outdoor gym, putput golf, playground, and ball field. Lots of Cabin rentals and tent camping. Legend has it a fierce battle took place between the Creek and Cherokee nations above the park. The Battle lasted so long the streams at the foot of the mountains ran red with blood. (Hence the name Blood Mountain).

Ouray Colorado to Silverton Colorado along the Million Dollar Highway

We will take you on a five minute road trip between Ouray, Colorado and Silverton, Colorado along the Million Dollar Highway. We took this day trip while camping out at the Ouray RV Park and Cabins. You will see old mine shafts that date back to the 1800’s Tailings from the old mines. Miners houses and some very beautiful country.
The Switzerland of America – along the back roads and Scenic Byways: you can see vistas where old Hollywood westerns were filmed and explore high country ghost towns that were once booming mining cities. Ouray is also known as “The Jeeping Capital of the World.” Regardless of the season or the purpose of your visit, a trip to the famous, sulfur-free Ouray Hot Springs Pool is always a treat. With nearly one-million gallons of naturally heated water from deep in the earth, the hot springs pool has been a soothing destination for generations.
The Million Dollar Highway delivers jaw-dropping vista after vista. It was cut from the side of the mountain and became know as the “Million Dollar Highway”. It’s one of the most scenic drives in the USA. There are several legends, though, including that it cost a million dollars a mile to build it, this is in the 1800’s and that its fill dirt contains a million dollars in gold ore.
Silverton is where the video ends, a video on Silverton coming soon.

Black Canyon, Colorado 2016

A short Video While camping at the Cedar Creek Campground Montrose, Colorado we decided to see some of the sites around the area. Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is a United States National Park located in Western Colorado and managed by the National Park Service. Not far from the town of Montrose Colorado. The canyon’s name owes itself to the fact that parts of the gorge only receive 33 minutes of sunlight a day. Several canyons of the American West are longer and some are deeper, but none combines the depth, sheerness, narrowness, darkness, and dread of the Black Canyon. Hope you enjoy all the beautiful views and Please like, Subscribe and Share if you like what you see.

Visiting Family in Branford, Florida, Lafayette County

Toward the end of our 4 month Journey from Florida to California and back we stopped back by Branford Florida and had a wonderful time visiting our Niece and Nephew and Great Niece’s and Great Nephew in Branford Florida. Stayed at the Ichetucknee Springs Campground. The good thing about the park was, it is close to the spring and our family, the bad, it could use some serious maintenance, especially on the road getting into the campground.
